Thunder Bay Police have arrested and charged a city man with attempted homicide in connection to an incident at an St. Vincent Avenue apartment Monday evening.
Officers were called just after 7:30 p.m. following a weapons call, upon arrival they located a seriously injured male whose injuries were consistent with that of an edged weapon.
The victim was taken to hospital by Superior North EMS for treatment.
An investigation revealed the two men, both known to each other, were in an argument that became physical resulting in the victim being stabbed.
As officers were containing the scene they located the accused nearby and at 7:50 p.m. he was taken into custody without further incident.
Members of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units are now involved as part of the ongoing investigation.
The 46 year old appeared in court today and was remanded into custody.
