Thunder Bay OPP have reopened Highway 102 following a fatal motor vehicle collision Friday evening.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. west of Silver Falls Road, when a snowplow and tractor trailer unit collided. At the time of the incident the snowplow was actively clearing snow from the roadway.
The driver of the snowplow, who has only been identified as a 52 year old male from Thunder Bay was killed. Meanwhile the driver and passenger of the tractor trailer were not injured.
The collision forced the closure of the highway until 10 a.m. Saturday as police conducted their investigation.
