City police have thwarted another home takeover this time on the city’s north side.
Officers were called to the residence for a welfare check, over concerns of an ongoing home takeover situation.
When they arrived they located two suspects, a 22 year old man and a 23 year old man, who appeared to be hiding.
Through the investigation police seized a quantity of suspected crack cocain, fentanyl and cash believed to have been obtained through drug trafficking.
Two men both from Toronto, were both taken into custody.
The 22 year old faces the following charges:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking • Possession of Proceeds of Property of Crime Over $5,000He has since been remanded into court following a court appearance Friday.
Meanwhile the 23 year old faces a charge of:
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The breach of probation relates to a condition he not be within the City of Thunder Bay except for court appearances.
He too appeared in court Friday but was release on conditions and a future appearance date.
