Thunder Bay Police have arrested seven people following a search of an Amelia Street home Thursday, which resulted in the seizure of drugs and firearms.
Officers executed the warrant as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the area. Four of the suspects attempted to resist arrest but were taken into custody following a brief struggle, one of them attempting to destroy evidence.
A quantity of fentanyl, crack cocaine, cash, drug trafficking equipment, three loaded handguns, of of which that had been converted for automatic fire and a high capacity magazine were all seized.
Estimated value of the drugs is more than $125,000 and the cash is valued at $35,000.
