Thunder Bay Airport CEO Ed Schmidtke says the airport will honour the rules as they come in in connection to mask usage in the terminal or on flights.
On Monday the federal government announced travelers would no longer be required to wear masks while in airports or on aircraft as of October 1st.
However Schmidtke notes while the airport will no longer be enforcing mask usage, it will encourage it. He adds there were no issues with masks and there was strong support from the general public and those coming through the terminal.
