A male youth is being investigated for hate-motivated crimes.
City police were called to a high school in Thunder Bay to check on the welfare of a 14 year old student.
Officers learned the victim was also recently assaulted and that the victim was attacked and previously filed a different report regarding the accused harassing and bullying the victim.
The accused had been cautioned about their behaviour in the previous incident.
The 14 year old victim had been assaulted, unprovoked, by a male classmate which investigators learned was motivated by hate.
Police located and arrested the accused who was taken into custody on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
No other details about the nature of the hate motivation are being released by the Thunder Bay Police Service in an effort to protect the identity of the victim.
