Shelter House has cancelled its Outreach Service.
In a release, it’s indicated that the Shelter Outreach Service will be discontinued permanently after funding has declined.
The program originally started in 2014 and has been operating for the past eight years travelling to various parts of the city to provide essentials and transportation within the city to shelter programs and services.
Shelter House executive director, Cal Rankin, said that SOS Services funding has declined significantly and they must focus on their core programming of sheltering and feeding those in need.
The cancellation of the service is effective immediately.
