The day has come that new airline refund rules come into play.
Starting today, airlines will have to start issuing refunds to passengers if their flight has a lengthy delay or is cancelled and the airline cannot rebook them within 48 hours. This applies if the delay or cancellation is in or out of the airline’s control.
The Canadian Transportation Agency has been seeing increased complaints from air passengers and has been dealing with a significant backlog of complaints. The CTA has received more than 13,000 air travel complaints between April and August of this year.
Those looking to see if a complaint might be worth compensation can find out through this link with the APPR and make complaints here.
