An early morning fire has completely gutted a home.
At approximately 3:30am Saturday morning, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were called to Valley Street for a house fire.
With significantly heavy smoke and flames coming from the front and side of the home, the inside of the home was fully engulfed.
Fire crews confirmed that no one was inside the home. A family pet was located and rescued during search efforts.
Although fire crews quickly brought the fire under control, damage to the home is quite extensive. The incident is currently under investigation.
A total of 6 Pumpers, Platoon Chief, and an aerial ladder responded to this incident.
