City police have pulled more illicit drugs and weapons off the streets.
Police had been investigating certain individuals who were in a vehicle when the high risk traffic stop occurred Wednesday night on Hwy 11-17 near Hwy 527.
After a search warrant was granted, officers searched the car and found:
- Fentanyl,
- Crystal Methamphetamine,
- Xanax,
- Cocaine,
- Psilocybe Cubensis (Mushrooms),
- a large amount of Canadian currency,
- handgun with an extended magazine that was loaded with 16 live rounds
The drugs collected were worth close to $18,000
A total of six people were charged, ranging in age from 17 to 65 years old and are all from Toronto and Mississauga.
The accused’s are facing 73 charges total, ranging from drug trafficking to firearms related charges.
All suspects are staying in police custody until a future court date.
