Another feedback survey for the City is open.
This one is about the Mountdale/Neste Boat Launch as well as the surrounding park area.
The boat launch itself is located of Mountdale Ave, off of Montreal St and allows for access to the Kaministiquia River and then to Lake Superior.
A concept plan has been put together by the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority (LRCA) and the City of Thunder Bay which outlines some short term improvements as well as more vegetation on the banks of the river.
There are long term plans in place to improve the parking lot, an accessible dock and even a viewing platform.
Funding is coming from Environment & Climate Change Canada and the City of Thunder Bay to start the environmental improvements at Mountdale Boat Launch.
