If the name Tracey MacKinnon is recognizable, it may be because this will not be the first time that she’s ran for public office.
The now Green Party candidate in the riding of Thunder Bay-Rainy River was on the ballot in the 2018 Municipal Election and collected 3,129 votes in the race for one of the At Large seats.
“Ken Boschcoff gave me this advice, he said ‘Tracy people know your name but don’t know what you do, give them time, they’ll know your name and what you do’,” said MacKinnon. “I’m using what he said to help me (going forward). I hope I’ve made my mark in the last three years since I ran for city council.”
