Congratulations to Tenille Arts! The Weyburn, Saskatchewan native hit number 1 on the Country Aircheck chart with Somebody Like That this week and made history. The song was co-written by Arts with Allison Cruz and Alex Kline. It is the first no.1 song in country music history that was written, performed and produced all by females. Kline also becomes the first solo female producer to have a no. 1 single at country radio. Way to go girls! Tenille even celebrated with a victory dance when she found out. Cool!
Found out that #SomebodyLikeThat is officially my first number one record & immediately lost it 😭 I truly cannot believe this. Country Radio, YOU have made my dreams come true – THANK YOU… pic.twitter.com/0K4uG7uWtw
