A big helping hand for Shelter House with a $10,000 donation from a local entrepreneur.
Semple Enterprises founder Titus Semple gave the cheque Friday, saying he wanted to give back to the services that his late wife used.
His business launched this year and aims to connect Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses.
He’s challenging other groups that work with Indigenous communities to follow his lead and give to Shelter House as well.
“Similar to the work that Shelter House does, I want to help my community. This includes both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous, and my focus is on the connection that is made when these two groups come together,” Semple says.
