A huge honour for Thunder Bay’s Courthouse Hotel in winning a provincial award.
Manager Chris Kowbuz tells us Choice Hotels Canada, a hotel franchisor, notified the Thunder Bay site it beat 80 other locations in the “Guest Satisfaction” rating category, part of the prestigious Awards for Property Excellence. “This award is a team effort. The credit goes to the staff at the hotel, and we’re extremely proud of them. I think we try to think of doing things a bit differently.”
The hotel manager adds this is the second property excellence award in two years.
He says it serves as a testimony to the hardworking staff, and what they have accomplished for guests in less that two years.
“We feel that most people that are looking at a converted courthouse boutique hotel aren’t looking to book a stay, they are looking to book an experience,” says Kowbuz.
The Property Excellence Awards have different categories including customer service, revenue growth, loyalty, and retaining new customers, as well as guest satisfaction.
