Residents had their chance to press city officials on a number of topics during the Budget 2021 Virtual Town Hall.
Infrastructure and Police Budget questions were anticipated during the event last night, but At Large Councillor Mark Bentz says there was one inquiry that they weren’t expecting.
“The welfare of all residents in terms of a workable income or guaranteed income that came our way, those questions are usually for provincial or federal members,” says Bentz “I think that shows that people are concerned about that and they want us to be lobbying [the provincial and federal governments] in certain ways”
Bentz notes the question isn’t tied to the 2021 Budget but is tied to the welfare of the city.
Bentz and the other At Large councillors (Trevor Giertuga, Rebecca Johnson, Peng You and Aldo Ruberto) will be holding a virtual town hall of their own next Thursday, November 26th at 7:00 p.m.
