I don’t watch Dancing With the Stars much anymore but when I think about the songs that they cut-a-rug to, I don’t automatically think Country … but that’s what Nelly busted smooth moves to on Monday night! The rapper and his pro partner, Daniella Karagach, Viennese Waltzed it up to the live band’s version of “Humble & Kind” by Tim McGraw. It went over well, too! Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said that the performance left her “without words“, meanwhile Bruno told Nelly that he’s “never been so charming and endearing.”

Nelly is no stranger to Mr. McGraw and the world of Country Music. In 2004 they collaborated on the song “Over and Over” and it was a monster hit, even though when he signed on to do the song, Nelly was told it would kill his career. Not so much!

The Hip Hop star says he loves the stories and passion in country music and has a new album coming up that has Country influences. The title sure sounds Country … “The Heartland Project“. He even has a tune on it with Florida Georgia Line, which drops on Friday! It’s not the first time they’ve worked together, hooking up for FGL’s “Cruise” remix in 2012.
