The former Buchanan mill in Rosslyn, still smoking on the afternoon of Saturday, July 25.
A major fire is under investigation at the former Buchanan Northern Hardwoods mill in Rosslyn.
The fire broke out Friday night, destroying the building, and was still smoldering Saturday afternoon.
Some areas are still smoking as of Sunday morning, but Oliver-Paipoonge Fire Chief Sean Horan says the mill was so severely damaged that it’s not safe to go in and put them out. Horan says they will let the remains of the fire burn itself out.
Firefighters turned the scene back over to the owners yesterday afternoon around 4:30.
Nobody was hurt in the fire.
