The devil is in the details and The Foundry wants to hear more.
Owner Dane Newbold says he’s excited to hear that his restaurant and bar will be able to operate indoors but wants to hear what some of the regulations will be from the province.
“When we were running just the patio we were allowed to stay open until just 11 p.m. We don’t know if there are going to be any restrictions on bar hours, because honestly, I’ve heard it’s hard to monitor and control social distancing amongst drunk people,” Newbold says.
He goes on to ask people to be patient as they work on bringing back their nightly entertainment.
“We probably won’t return to our full line-up of events right away, because we need to figure out what is allowed, what the policies are. We are going to work on bringing back entertainment as soon as we can,” Newbold says.
The Foundry owner expects the provincial government will provide further instructions in the days ahead of phase 3 reopenings on Friday.
