Another sign that Thunder Bay’s economy is coming back to life.
The Delta-Marriott hotel on the waterfront is reopening its guest rooms and cafe today with spokesperson Lauri Hoskins adding the restaurant and bar will open later.
“We’re waiting on further guidance for restaurants from the province and the health unit before we move forward with that stage of the reopening,” explains Hoskins.
The hotel official could not be happier adding “It is a wonderful feeling to know that the hotel is reopening…so we can share our beautiful hotel with the community again.”
The 149 room hotel was closed for 90 days during the pandemic. When it’s operating at full capacity it employs upwards of 80 people.
