180 skiers will be competing over four days at Loch Lomond next week.
It’s part of the U16 Ontario Alpine Ski Championships and organizer Dave Bradley tells us so far the weather is looking good for the competitors with a hard ice surface on the hill.
“The icier the better so we can keep the track the same for everyone. If it gets a little too warm, it’s not really what we are looking for but it’s great for the spectators. The racers would like it a little colder to keep the track together,” Bradley says.
The provincial ski event is taking place from February 20th to the 23rd. The ski event features the top 14 and 15-year-old athletes in Ontario competing over 4 race days for provincial supremacy.
