Everyone has a favorite nacho combination. Jalapenos, olives(I prefer green olives for a better taste), cheese, green peppers, tomato, and your choice of meat, whether it be beef, chicken or seafood. It’s always great to experiment with different kinds of cheese and items.
Nachos were created around 1943 by Ignacio “Nacho” Anaya for a group of hungry U.S. Army wives who dubbed them “Nachos Special” and have since grown in popularity.
You can make different combos, whether it be vegetarian or loaded. And don’t forget the sour cream, guacamole and salsa on the side. Nachos can be a snack, appetizer or full meal.
I asked Clint who had a recipe for his nachos which included Tex Mex smoked oysters.
What do you like to put on your nachos?
