The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be on the rails again for its 20th year.
There are two trains that make stops in Canada and the U. S. to raise awareness for food banks, through donations of money and food. Since the train started in 1999, they have raised more than $15 million Canadian in donations and collected 4.5 million pounds of food.
The train is decorated with lights and at each stop hosts a free event with musical performances. Be sure to attend the event and bring a non-perishable food item and/or a monetary donation.
The Holiday Train will make a stop in Thunder Bay Sunday, December 1st around 8:30 p.m. at the depot at 440 Syndicate Avenue. This year will feature Madeline Merlo and Scott Helman.
More information and the schedule is here.
The Canadian train departs Montreal on November 26th. Be sure to dress warm. Will you be attending?
