In local business news, Northwood Park Plaza could see a new a storage warehouse after City Council gave its approval.
They voted last night to change the zoning for a 2,900 square metre unit to allow it to be used as a “mini-warehouse” facility.
President of Blazin Group, Michael Klein, says they will establish the company Family Self Storage to provide around 250 storage units.
“We have done our homework, and believe that there is a big demand for a climate-controlled self-storage facility in the city,” he explained at last night’s Council meeting.
The developer adds the property has been vacant for around ten years, and hopes the new business will discourage vandalism in the area.
