Our local library is pitching in and collecting for Christmas Cheer.
Spokesperson Tina Tucker says they're hosting their popular Food for Fines campaign where if you bring a non-perishable food item to any library branch, a dollar will be taken off your fines.
Tucker notes it seemed like a no-brainer for them to get involved.
"We're a community hub for the city, and part of our role is to help the community," Tucker explains, "This is a great way to do that."
Tucker adds anyone is welcome to drop off a donation, even if they don't have fines to pay. (File Photo)
