A 40 year old man is going to spend six months in jail and three years on probation after being sentenced for possessing child pornography.

Kyle William Craigs told court that he has been publically shamed by having his name publicized and he lost friends and family over it.

Craigs told the judge he doesn't think the minimum sentence is fair but he's here and willing to serve.

Part of his probation includes not being in the company of people under the age of 16 unless they are accompanied by their guradian.

His lawyer David Young requested Craigs would be able to be in the presence of his young neices and nephews at family gatherings.

Craigs also can't be on the internet unless it's needed for work.

Young told the judge his client doesn't have a proclivity towards pedophilia and is remourseful.
