Thunder Bay MPP Bill Mauro is weighing in on why our hospital is overcrowded.
Mauro suggests that we have enough long term care beds in the community to take people out of the hospital, but not enough staff to look after them.
"We need the providers who have these beds to do whatever they can to recruit and to hire more personal support workers, and we would be able to pull 64 people that are in beds, tomorrow, out of the hospital."
Local health officials are moving 32 patients to Hogarth Riverview Manor this weekend.
Mauro says this has been a very tricky situation for at least six months now. (File Photo)
