The saying one man’s trash is another man’s treasure is being put to the test this weekend.
The city is holding another round of “Treasure Exchange Days,” which sees residents leave gently used items on the curb for others to peruse, and possibly take home.
Spokesperson Jason Scherband says residents have been receptive over the last three years.
This time around, he explains, you can search on social media using the hashtag #TbayTreasureDays, or use it to tag items you’re putting up for grabs.
“They can let people know where they have certain items, and where the address is.”
He notes they haven’t had any problems with items left on the curb.
Everybody has been pretty good about taking back any of those unwanted items on the Sunday,” Scherband says, pointing out that all items that haven’t been claimed by 7 o’clock on Sunday night need to be removed from your curb. (File Photo)
