Thunder Bay is getting a visit tomorrow from the site selection committee for the Special Olympics 2020 Winter Games.
The vice-president of Special Olympics Canada, Blair McIntosh, says its a two day visit. McIntosh says they’ll be touring some prospective sports venues, the proposed athletes village along with the locations of the opening and closing ceremonies.
Friday morning there will be a question and answer session which will also include a morning rally at Prince Arthur’s Landing.
This is the next stage of the process that’ll see our city or Regina, win the right to host the games.
The winning city will be announced in mid to late August.
