Charges Laid In Limbrick Stabbing

A 33 year old man remains in stable condition in hospital after police say he was stabbed. 

They say the incident took place at a home on Limbrick Place just after 3 in the afternoon yesterday. 

A 31 year old man is now charged with aggravated assault and remains in police custody. 

Police say alcohol was a factor.

Aggravated Assault

A 911 call was received by police on January 30, 2017 at 3:11 p.m. advising that a male had been stabbed in a Limbrick Place residence. 

Officers arrived at 3:15 p.m. and located the 33 year old male victim. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. He was treated and remains in hospital in stable condition.

Officers spoke to the individuals that we inside the residence and arrested 31 year old Andrew James Munroe. He appeared in court this morning on charges of Aggravated Assault. He has been remanded into custody.

The victim and the accused are known to each other and alcohol was a factor in this altercation.
