There’s more accusations against Thunder Bay police at the city inquest into the deaths of seven First Nation youth.
The treatment of Aboriginal youth by police has been addressed by lawyers at the hearing. Witness Skye Kekekagumik testified about one night when she and a friend were stopped by police. She claims one of the officers grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head against a car.
Later in the police lock-up, she claims police taunted them by drawing racist cartoons and calling them names.
