A unanimous vote supporting bringing the Alexander Henry to our City.
Lakehead Transportation Museum Spokesperson Wally Peterson says it means they can hit the ground running now that they have council’s approval.
“It means we can go to the NOHFC, the provincial funding, we can go to the insurance companies and say yes we are getting it and get quotes.”

The vessel is currently in Kingston and that City has put a deadline of June 29th on bringing the Henry here. If it can’t be moved by then it will be destroyed.
Our City Council gave its support in principle which means it’s in word only and not in funding just yet. (Photo of Alexander Henry from Bring Henry Home! GoFundMe Page)
