A 36-year old Thunder Bay man will be facing a judge over charges of arson and impaired driving.
Police say around 8:30 last night, they were called to a building fire on Dog Lake Road in Gorham Township.
While en route to the fire, police were called to reports of a vehicle in the ditch on Kam Current road. The man driving was arrested for drinking.
Police say they suspect this same man also started the fire on Dog Lake road.
Trevor Fron is facing numerous charges.

NUMEROUS OFFENCES
(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Sunday, September 17, 2017 at approximately 8:27pm, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a structure fire on Dog Lake Road in Gorham Township. The fire was reported as being suspicious in nature. A description of the vehicle that left the scene was provided to the officers.
While responding to the fire, officers were advised of a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Kam Current Road. Officers attended the collision and located a vehicle in the ditch.
While speaking with the driver, officers determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.
Further investigation revealed that the driver involved in the collision was also suspected of initiating the fire on Dog lake Road.
Trevor FRON, 36 years of age, from Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with:
-Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code,
-Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code,
-Arson – Damage to Property contrary to section 434 of the Criminal Code and,
-Break and Enter – Commit an Indictable Offence contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
He was held in custody for a video court appearance.
