This probably doesn’t come as a shock to Thunder Bay drivers, but a petroleum analyst says this city is paying the most for gas margins in all of Canada.
Dan McTeague says while prices average $1.28, it’s only costing gas stations about $1.08 to buy the fuel.
McTeague is urging Thunder Bay retailers “begin to consider that these prices are extremely excessive” and claims he can’t find any place in Canada “where retail margins are 20 cents a litre.”
He says gas stations in this city are not honouring the 12 cent rule, which is a general guideline for retailers. (File photo)
