Indigenous families are getting help with parenting and social activities, thanks to a new provincial program through the Thunder Bay and District Social Services Administration Board.
CAO Bill Bradica is looking forward to seeing how the Journey Together program will help four local organizations.
The groups will be receiving around $1.4 million dollars over the next two years to provide services to families and children.
He adds the groups receiving the money will be announced later.
Bradica is also hoping that the provincial minister in charge of the funding will pay a visit to Thunder Bay this month. (File Photo)
