An area paper mill is facing a hefty fine after a worker was burned in a dust explosion at an idled plant.
Resolute Forest Products will have to pay $150,000, following the 2014 incident involving a maintenance worker who suffered burns to the body when wood dust exploded.
The Fort Frances paper mill was inactive at the time, but its boiler was still in operation to heat it through that winter.
In addition to the fine, the court also imposed a 25 per cent victim fine surcharge.
