The residents of Kashechewan First Nation, who were forced to leave because of flooding along the Albany River, are now being told they can return home.

300 of them, mostly elders and children, came to Thunder Bay because of rising river levels due to ice jams.  However, after an air surveillance, the chief and council feel the community is out of danger.

Arrangements are now in the works to get them back to their James Bay area home beginning today.
