Christy Radbourne's intention to contest the federal riding of Thunder Bay-Rainy River is now official.
The Ogden Community School principal was acclaimed the Green Party candidate for the riding today.
Radbourne says being the sole Green candidate is not discouraging at all - rather, it's a symptom of what's going on in politics, in general. She admits it'll be an uphill race for the riding's seat, but her motivation for running stems from a need to re-energize voters.
Radbourne says she hopes to engage the electorate by talking about things in a way that's different from what's being said, over and over again, by Canada's main federal parties. (Photo and video: Caryn Ceolin)
