A 23 year old Sioux Lookout man is being accused of trying to cheat in a fishing tournament.
The OPP say they were conducting a joint patrol with MNR conservation officers at the Sioux Lookout Walleye Tournament earlier this month.
Officers discovered that one of the competitors was in possession of some fish that had been noticibly altered.
Police say the tails had been cut off the fish to shorten their overall length in order to meet the legal requirements of the tournament.
The angler has been charged with possessing a fish of prohibited size under his sport fishing licence.
He's due to appear in Sioux Lookout Court on September 15th on the charge.
