Planning is ongoing, as the city prepares for the arrival of up to 300 Kashechewan evacuees as early as Sunday.
The Emergency Control Group met yesterday afternoon, after the northern Ontario First Nation declared a state of emergency due to potential flooding.
The city accepts evacuees in partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, the federal government, and the Office of the Fire Marshal...among other organizations.
They say they continue to monitor the situation.
A full cost recovery agreement is in place between the city and the federal government.
