The Alzheimer Society is holding their annual fundraising walk this morning at the Prince Arthur’s Landing.
It runs from 10:00 to 1:00.
Spokesperson Jaclyn Woods tells us they’ve added some new features to the walk, like forget-me-not flowers.
They’ll be placed along the Memory Lane area of the walk, and participants can take a potted flower home after the event.
Woods notes they’re meant to honour loved ones who have passed away from dementia.
She estimates over 300 people are taking part.
They hope to raise $65,000 dollars this year.
That money will stay local and help provide programs for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease. (File Photo)
