A community project celebrating Lake Superior gets underway this week.

Threading Water involves eight free workshops this summer for people of all ages.

It will tell stories about their relationship with the Great Lake through a quilt made of fabric, embroidery and pigments.

You can get involved by heading down to the waterfront Wednesday from 5 until 8.

The art piece will be unveiled at Mariner's Hall when it's finished in September.
