A possible class action lawsuit is waiting to be approved that involves a Thunder Bay woman and medical marijuana.
She’s claiming she ingested medical marijuana, purchased from Mettrum Ltd of Toronto, that was treated with a banned pesticide.
The accusation hasn’t been tested in court.
Jordan Sinclair is a spokesperson with Canopy Growth Corporation, the company which has taken over Mettrum.
He says there’s no question his company will defend itself in the case and will tell its side of the story, if a judge approves the class action request.
In Nova Scotia, meantime, there’s a reportedly similar proposed class action in the works.
