Summer tires are once again hitting the roads.
With the warmer temperatures earlier this month, Done-Rite Tire & Auto Service Manager Jason Ramage says he’s been busier than usual for this time of year.
He says he recommends waiting until the end of April to take your snow tires in case of any last minute storms, but the last weeks of winter weather shouldn’t be a problem if you use all-season tires during the warmer months.
Ramage notes that there’s nothing wrong with leaving your winter tires on for another few weeks.
“It’s only when the temperatures are consistently warm and the pavement is warm that you’ll start prematurely wearing your tires.”
Ramage adds that if you have studded tires, the law says to change them by May 31st. (Staff Photo)
