OPP Issue Alert For Missing Man

The OPP are looking for your help in locating a missing man who failed to return to the Ministry of Natural Resources fire base on Highway 527.

Police say 45 year old Leon Esquega left the base last night, saying he planned to hitchhike to Thunder Bay and return to the base around midnight. 

He has yet to show up.

Esquega is described as an Indigenous, 5'11", 220 lbs, short black hair, and has a moustache.

THUNDER BAY OPP REQUESTING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MISSING MALE

(THUNDER BAY, ON) - Members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are requesting assistance from the public in locating a missing maleOn Monday, July 31, 2017 at approximately 9:40am, Thunder Bay OPP were notified of a missing person.

Leon ESQUEGA, 45 years of age, left the Rinker Lake MNR Fire Base located on Highway 527 at approximately 8:00pm on July 30, advising that he was going to return around midnight. He had intended to hitchhike to Thunder Bay. He has not returned to the fire base.    

ESQUEGA is described as an Indigenous male, 5'11", 220 lbs, short black hair, and has a moustache.

He was wearing a blue ball cap, blue jeans, and a red or brown long sleeve shirt and runners.

Anyone who has seen ESQUEGA or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
