A just-retired journalist in Thunder Bay is lamenting that the newspaper industry has become less relevant in the age of the Internet.
Ian Pattison has seen the industry change drastically in 50 years, and suggests it’s sad that inexperienced citizen journalists seem to be showing up more frequently on the Internet.
“It’s great that people feel compelled to become involved in the news, [but] it’s impossible to beat a newsroom of professional, trained journalists.”
Pattison has plans to keep active in the news field in some way suggesting you haven’t heard the last of him yet. (Staff Photo)
