Lakehead University is receiving close to $10 million help with the rebuilding of its science and engineering building.
The money is coming from both the federal and provincial governments towards the total cost of the $18 million dollar facility.
LU President Brian Stevenson says they need the new digs because the programs are growing.
He says they were running out of space and this will help them to expand and develop along with taking the institution into a new level of research.
The building is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2018. (Staff photo)
