Some north side residents can expect less basement flooding, as the city plans to do more storm sewer work.
City Council agreed to set aside more than $491,000 for storm sewer work on Empress Avenue and Crescent Avenue.
That also includes storm sewer work at the entrance to George Burke Park.
A city report says the project will reduce risk of flooding.
Council is extending the contract for the project, which was originally approved last May, at a cost of nearly $2.2 million. (File Photo)
