Conservative Vic Fideli is wondering why the government is taking so long to address a high property tax bill of a Schreiber senior citizen.
He says her bill has gone up so much it'll take 11-months of her widow's pension to pay it, and she's not alone, with 40 others in the same position.
Fideli points to her property assessment jumping from $78-thousand dollars to $186-thousand, even though she doesn't have sewer and water, cable, sidewalks and natural gas.
The woman's son, Keith Scott from Thunder Bay, says Finance Minister Charles Sousa's written responses have been unacceptable, and only recently MPP Michael Gravelle said he'll take part in any meeting to address this.
Scott says the government has delayed addressing this for over 18-months.
