The mayor is putting his support behind the Special Olympics.
Keith Hobbs is confident city council will support an $8,000 bid Monday night to apply to host the 2020 Winter games.
Hobbs says he’s a fan of the organization and calls the last Special Olympics we hosted a resounding success.
He’s not put off by the $300,000 cost to the host city, saying the games would bring in millions in tourism revenue.
Hobbs adds he feels the Special Olympics represents equality, fairness, and other qualities our city tries to achieve. (File Photo)
